What’s Happening?

You’re invited to join our Saturday morning, beginners group ride starting from and ending at our North Houston, Performance Bicycle store. The ride is for beginners and those getting back on the saddle. The average pace will be between 10 and 14 miles per hour and the ride will last approximately one hour. We’ll explore some of the local bike paths available to you and experience some residential riding as well. The ride leaves the store every Saturday morning, 8:00 am and is a “No Rider Left Behind” ride. Come out and join our ride leaders, for some fun outdoors.

Cypress Trails @ Collins Park
Description: Cypresswood Trails are one of the jewels of Houston's trail system. A five mile out-and-back consisting of numerous stacked loops give riders a well constructed and maintain trailed system in Houston's northern suburbs.
Difficulty: Intermediate
Location: 6727 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX

Cypresswood Trail Near Jones Road
Description: The Cypresswood Hike And Bike Path is a trail that starts across the street from Lakewood Crossing Park, a small neighborhood park on Cypresswood Drive near Jones Road. There is a small white sign pointing to where the trail is. That's it! No trail name or information. The trail is paved for approximately 1/3 mile and goes along a flood reservoir. The paved trail ends, but a dirt trail continues.
Difficulty: Beginner

Huntsville State Park
Description: A fun, fast course for riders of all levels, Huntsville is an East Texas biker’s playground. This place is loaded with lots of smooth singletrack covered with cushy pine needles, and the low swampy areas use boardwalks to keep you out of the muck.
Difficulty: All levels.
Location: 40 Park Road, Huntsville, TX

Double Lake Recreation Area
Description: Located a short drive north of Houston, Double Lake is a trail that invokes positive response and memories from the riders that have ridden there. The trail system loops through the forest and is perfect for beginners, young riders as well as experienced riders who want to go fast.
Difficulty: All levels
Location: Sam Houston National Forest, Cold Spring, TX
