Incredible as it sounds, mileage like that is entirely within the realm of possibility with the Hutchinson Intensive Kevlar + Hardskin tire. Hutchinson employs a special thermoplastic-reinforced tread compound to achieve a level of wear-resistance that boggles the mind. But lest you think all that durability comes at the expense of performance, think again. The 127 tpi casing makes this tire supple and responsive, too. Plus, a slick competition tread ensures minimal rolling resistance. Finally, the Intensive Kevlar + Hardskin road tire features carbon beads that keep the tire from rolling off the rim should you ever have to ride with a flat (not recommended, but certainly possible in a pinch). If you'd rather ride than buy new tires on a regular basis, this is the tire for you.
