Diamondback Release 3 27.5 Mountain Bike - 2017
Save $500.00 (11%) $3,900.00 MSRP $4,400.00
Bringing together the latest wheel size, the latest thru-axle standard, a brand new suspension design, and the hottest paint schemes, the Diamondback Release series is ready to be the one and only bike you'll need no matter what the trail throws your way. This is a claim made by numerous bikes across numerous manufacturers but none pull it off quite as well as the Release.
Starting with an aluminum frame using hydroformed tubing and a 148x12mm Boost thru-axle, the Release also sports Link Level suspension. This is similar to the proven 4-bar linkage found on many bikes but with the crucial difference of allowing the horizontal link to stay parallel to the chain throughout the suspension movement, the Level Link design provides superior pedaling efficiency without sacrificing the buttery smooth 130mm of travel when the trail turns rough. Matching this efficiency is the RockShox Pike RCT3 fork putting out 150mm of travel. This balance makes for one of the best riding bikes on the market.
No trendy mountain bike would be complete without the latest 1x11 drivetrain from SRAM. The Release 1 gets hooked up with the SRAM X1 drivetrain featuring a Race Face Turbine crankset. This gives you superior shifting efficiency while keeping things balanced between weight and durability. SRAM's Guide RS hydraulic disc brakes perform under any weather or trail condition while the DB lock-on grips keep you comfortable and in control.
Finishing off the all-rounder nature of the Release 3 is the KS Lev Integra dropping seatpost with internally routed cable and housing. If you're looking for one bike to tackle any trail from the roughest rocks at Moab or Pisgah to the fastest IMBA approved flow trail, the Diamondback Release 3 will be the perfect bike for you.
