Shimano XTR BR-M985 Hydraulic Disc Brake for XC Race

Shimano loaded the new XTR M985 hydraulic disc brakes with tons of new technology to produce a brake set that's lightweight, compact and delivers a 10% increase in braking power. Engineered specifically for the XC racer, the XTR M985 race brake features a compact lever design with integrated barrel reservoir and hinged band clamp. To enhance control and ergonomics, Shimano gave the new brakes a shorter, 13mm-wide lever blade and a post-mount caliper optimized to minimize weight and to enhance stiffness and insulation.
  • Race brake is tuned specifically for XC use, with a light action, snappy lever return and 10% more braking power than previous XTR hydraulic disc brakes
