Shimano XTR BR-M988 Hydraulic Disc Brakes for Trail

Shimano loaded the new XTR M988 hydraulic disc brakes with tons of new technology to produce a brake set that's lightweight, compact and delivers more braking power. Engineered specifically for the trail rider, the XTR M988 trail brake builds on the features of the race brake and added a short-stroke SERVO-WAVE mechanism for quicker engagement and 25% more power, additional adjustability, and Ice-Tech pads. To enhance control and ergonomics, Shimano gave the new brakes a shorter, 14mm-wide lever blade and a post-mount caliper optimized to minimize weight and to enhance stiffness and insulation.
