2013 GT Karakoram 3.0 Hydraulic Mountain Bike

The Karakorum 3.0 has all-mountain powerfully built features with cross country quickness. The Karakorum is designed around an optimized aluminum hydroformed 6061 triple triangle frame. The frame is molecularly aligned to strengthen the head tube and bottom bracket shell and reduce lateral flex; two areas that require reinforcement for the punishment of mountain biking.

A Shimano 27-speed Rapid Fire Alivio drive train supplies fast and reliable shifting. The Alivio rear derailleur features a wide link mechanism for precise shifts. The Karakorum is equipped with Tektro HTC-300 hydraulic brakes. Hydraulic brakes supply greater stopping power than mechanical brakes, especially in adverse weather conditions. The wheel life is prolonged by the caliper engaging the disc rotor and not the rim directly.

Maxxis Aspen 29x2.1 tires strike a great balance between low rolling resistance and solid trail grip. They are mounted to a durable set of Alex TD19 double wall wheels. All Terra components round out a versatile 29er mountain bike capable of climbing, descending, and rolling over obstacles with ease.
