2013 Fuji Absolute 1.4 Road Bike

More standover height, more comfort and more performance are delivered by the 2013 Fuji Absolute 1.4 road bike. The Absolute model continues to be produced because of its wide appeal to any rider looking for the fast-paced efficiency of a road bike, but with upright geometry and comfort of a mountain bike. The 1.4 takes this to a whole new level with great mountain bike components and Fuji road bike technology.

The Absolute 1.4 is built-up around a durable, lightweight frame made from Fuji's A2-SL proprietary aluminum tube set. A2 is double butted for extraordinary strength without adding undue weight. The geometry was adjusted to more evenly dissipate road vibration for a smoother, more comfortable ride. A more compact Absolute geometry places you an upright, confident position, which alleviates pressure on your hands and shoulders and improves your overall field of vision.

Shimano Acera, Alivio and Deore are all used to mix the drivetrain to the best blend of performance and efficiency. A Shimano Deore rear derailleur was chosen for its crisp shifts, added durability and longevity. Acera flat bar shifters deliver smooth indexing and a triple chainring Acera crankset will keep you spinning comfortably no matter the grade.

Shimano Acera 2-finger brake levers, coupled to Tektro linear pull brakes, supply the stopping power on Vera Corsa double wall rims laced to sealed cartridge hubs. The double wall thickness adds life to your wheel set. Vera Helios tires with a supple 30 TPI casing feature a good balance of grip, low rolling resistance and added puncture resistance.
