2013 Fuji Cross 1.1 Cyclocross Bike

Disc brakes are finally being embraced by the cyclocross community. It's no wonder why with the superior stopping power they provide under adverse conditions. The only disadvantage is in the weight, which was nullified when Fuji decked out their Cross 1.1 with light weight components and wheels. The first thing that jumps out is the superior SRAM Force 20-speed drive train. SRAM components are so common on the cross scene now because of both their efficiency and weight savings that it's almost a surprise to see anything else. Force delivers when it counts; under pressure. DoubleTap technology reacts quickly and sensitively, so you are less likely to miss-shift coming in and out of corners.

Fuji paid close attention to details with color matched, anodized accents on the stem face plate, seat post clamp near the saddle rails, and even on the Oval 327 Disc wheels. An Oval 905 carbon seat post helps to dampen the vibration of a rough course, and the aforementioned Avid BB7 disc brakes have great braking performance under stress. Fuji uses a 160/140mm rotor combination for added control when going hot into a tight corner.

The Fuji Cross 1.1 is a stellar cross bike capable of handling tough terrain and the competition equally.
