2013 Fuji Supreme 2.1 C Women's Road Bike

For way too long, women who were serious about their cycling were forced to buy a men's model if they wanted a nicely equipped, high-performance road bike. But the situation changed in 2007 when Fuji introduced its women's-specific Supreme line. From the beginning, the Supreme sported a premium, lightweight carbon frame that was proportioned to better fit a female's anatomy, quality drivetrain components, an ergonomic cockpit, and the same level of performance male riders demanded from their bikes. That hasn't changed, but the level of technology displayed in the 2013 Fuji Supreme 2.1 C Women's road bike is far advanced compared to the original. Carbon technology has been continually improving over the years. The C5 high-modulus carbon used in the 2013 Supreme is now lighter and stronger. And new layup techniques have allowed Fuji to custom-configure the frame to maximize its strength-to-weight ratio. Sleeker and more aerodynamic than the original Supreme, the latest Supreme frame has a press-fit BB86 bottom bracket and a tapered head tube for extra stiffness. The stiff bottom bracket enhances power transfer and the stiffer head tube improves the Supreme's handling. As before, the frame's geometry has been optimized to enhance a women cyclist's performance and comfort.

The Supreme 2.1 C's components were selected with women riders in mind, too. Ergonomically designed brake levers with adjustable reach, a compact crankset, narrower handlebars and a women's-specific saddle work together to create a cockpit that's well-balanced and extremely comfortable. Oval 327 aero alloy clincher wheels are fast and lightweight and subtly color-matched to the frame color. They roll fast and smooth on high-performance Hutchinson Equinox II tires, which feature a dual-compound tread for efficient cornering and excellent durability. They're also puncture-resistant, so you can spend more time enjoying your Supreme 2.1 C and less time fixing flats.
