The Tahoe 1.5D 29er Mountain Bike is a glowing example of a lightweight, durable 29er hardtail that is adorned with amazing components to tackle any off road situation. Fuji has been engineering cycling solutions since 1889, and they have been a major player in the mountain bike revolution.

First, let's take a look at the newest in aluminum alloy frame technology. A2-SL custom butted aluminum tubing is hydroformed so that the bulk can be taken out where it's not needed, and left where it is--what do you get in return? A frame that is lighter, stronger, leaner, and smarter. A 1 1/8 to 1 1/2" tapered head tube is a perfect example--it's flared on the bottom where it takes the most abuse, and slimmed to the top where the steer tube emerges to reduce overall bulk.

The fork is the RockShox Recon Silver 29 TK Solo Air w/ tapered alloy steerer, with PopLoc remote lockout, and 100mm of travel so you can absorb larger rocks, roots, and ruts and maintain greater speeds on descents, and also get over bigger stuff on flatter sections . PopLoc remote means you can disengage the shock with a simple thumb click so when a long or steep climb approaches, you can take the travel out of the shock and increase your efficiency.

The Shimano dominated drivetrain on the Tahoe 1.5D is powered by a Shimano Deore, M552 w/ integrated spindle, 42/32/24T chainrings and Shimano HG62, 11-36T, 10-speed cassette set offering 30 speeds of optimum acceleration, top speeds, and unparalleled climbing.

With cross-country terrain being so quick to change, lesser drivetrains can really cause you problems when you need quick response...that won't be the case with this drivetrain setup. The Shimano Deore front derailleur and Deore XT rear derailleur are designed to work together with the Deore M591 rapid fire shifters to give you real-time response with zero clanking or skipping.

While going is the main idea, it's no good without staying on the trail and stopping. That's why Tahoe 1.5D comes equipped with Sun Inferno 25 rims mounted on Shimano Formula DC-73 sealed bearing front hub and Shimano M475 rear hub making wheels that are not only lightweight, but are strong and provide just the right amount of flex to complement Hutchinson Cobra tires to dig into all kinds of trails in all kinds of conditions. When braking time comes, the Hayes Dyno-comp hydraulic brake system is dependable in all weather and, and the larger, 180mm front rotor provides additional braking ease.

Topping of this race-level list of accouterments is a combination of touch-point components by Oval. Oval M250 alloy bars have a slight rise (5mm) and pair perfectly with the Oval M213 3D-forged alloy stem to keep your positioning good for spinning, but also optimized for downhill and obstacle clearing. Oval dual-density kraton grips merry to gloves for security, and the Oval M200 saddle and seat post are light, strong, and keep comfortable and supported on all rides long and short.
