2013 Diamondback Trace Hybrid Bike

The Diamondback Trace features road bike efficiency with comfortable mountain bike geometry. The component assortment and ergonomic design will benefit any rider looking for a dependable neighborhood, city or errand running bike.

The Trace features a 6061-T6 Butted Aluminum Dual Sport Frame with formed top and downtubes, forged drop outs, and an integrated chainstay disc brake mount. The Dual Sport fork dampens vibrations and hits from the ground, keeping your hands from getting numb as you maintain control on tricky surfaces. SR Suntour also provides a great crankset option with the XCT model featuring a chainguard to keep your pants from getting snagged in the drivetrain.

The drivetrain is a blend of Shimano components including an Altus rear derailleur, Shimano EF-51 Easyfire 7-speed shifters, and a Shimano HG-20 cassette. The wheels are a critical part of any dual sport bicycle. For the Trace, no exceptions were made. Weinmann SL-7 Doublewall rims laced to SL-7 Alloy hubs and Innova DualSport 700×40c tires are wide enough for the dirt and have a semi slick tread for variable conditions. Tektro Novela mechanical disc brakes handle the stopping duties well, even in wet conditions. A Diamondback proprietary cockpit with DB Lazer Series 31.8mm low rise handlebars and a DB AL6061 stem. A comfortable DB Dual Sport seat sits on top of a DB Lazer Series Micro Adjust post, keeping you comfy and smiling.
