2013 Diamondback Recoil 29er Full Suspension Mountain Bike

The Diamondback Recoil 29 is the perfect beginner bike for those just getting into aggressive riding or those who are looking for an entry level full suspension rig. It was built with durability in mind, to keep you in the saddle worry-free.

The 6061 T-6 Aluminum Trail frame sporting 4" of travel via the Tuff Shock Rear Coil Shock with oil damping. The frame uses a machine formed top tube and a butted and formed down tube sharing tubing. It uses a sealed cartridge bearing pivot and is built around an optimized single pivot design, which is the simplest type of rear suspension, because there are fewer moving parts. It consists of a pivot just above the bottom bracket, slightly up on the down tube and a single swing-arm to the rear axle. Being that the rear triangle directly attaches to the rear shock, the shock has a more linear spring rate and offers good small bump compliance.

An SR XCT 100mm travel fork with an external preload adjustment is more than capable for obstacles. The Shimano SL-M310 Rapidfire 8-speed shifters control an Altus front and an Acera rear derailleur for efficient climbs and descents. The Tektro Novela mechanical disc brakes with 6" rotors will provide all of the braking power that you'll need and the Weinmann SL-7 Doublewall wheel set provides a tough and stable platform for your bike to roll on.
