These rings have almost every surface sculpted by precision CNC tools and fully machined in Race Face's BC manufacturing facility. The patented Race Face S.H.I.F.T. technology allows for extremely aggressive shifting. While the rings were designed specifically to work with 10-speed drivetrains, they are equally compatible with 9-speed.
