Reynolds Sixty Six OE Clincher Road Wheelset

Leave it to Reynolds, a leader in carbon wheel innovation, to keep on pushing the design and performance envelopes beyond limits no other carbon wheel has yet dared to tread. For example, at first glance, the deep, 66mm profile of Reynolds Sixty Six clincher road wheels might raise a few red flags as far as stability in crosswinds is concerned. No worries. Reynolds' design engineers have the situation covered with their patented Swirl Lip Generators. Two little bulges positioned on both sides of the rims' trailing edges not only enhance the wheels' aerodynamics, but actually decrease the force of air passing sideways across the rim. Although the details of the physics is beyond our ken, experience has taught us that when confronted with crosswinds, the Sixty Sixes are every bit as stable as wheels with more modest profiles.

Crosswinds or no, these wheels dish out every bit of acceleration and top-end speed you look for in a deep V wheel, making them a perfect choice for criteriums, time trials, triathlons, or juicing up your recreational rides with explosive bursts of acceleration. With a high modulus carbon construction and hard resin finish, they're exceptionally stiff, dependably strong and pleasantly lightweight. Internal spoke nipples enhance both strength and aerodynamics and Reynolds' proprietary CTg brake track technology runs up to 100 degrees cooler than old-style tracks. Coupled with the Cryo Blue brake pads Reynolds includes, the system dramatically improves braking performance and provides an extra skosh of confidence for tackling high-speed descents.

For the ultimate synthesis of strength, stiffness and rotational weight savings, Sixty Six clinchers are radially laced with 16 DT Aerolite spokes up front, and 20 rear spokes laced radially/2X.

Reynolds Sixty Six carbon clincher wheels come with Cryo Blue brake pads (the only ones Reynolds recommends for use with these wheels), lightweight quick release skewers and valve extenders.

These wheels are eligible for the Reynolds Assurance Program.
