Reynolds Sixty Six/Eighty One OE Carbon Clincher Road Wheelset

If going faster by bike is on your list of cycling goals, the Reynolds Sixty Six/Eighty One carbon clincher wheelset should be on your shopping list. Reynolds has paired their legendary Sixty Six carbon wheel with the ultra-deep, 81mm profile Eighty One wheel in a super aerodynamic front/rear combo that blows the doors off just about anything else out there. Both wheels feature Reynolds' high modulus carbon fiber rims with patented Swirl Lip Generator design that channels air over the rim's surface to improve aerodynamics and add extra stability in crosswinds.

DT Swiss sealed cartridge bearing hubs deliver smooth, maintenance-free performance, and strong and lightweight DT Aerolite spokes lend stiffness and strength without adding excess weight. One of our favorite features is the Reynolds' CTg brake track system, which dissipates heat so efficiently that under braking, these rims run as much as 100 degrees cooler than standard carbon rims. If you've ever succumb to the inevitable panic that ensues as you watch your brake pads melt during a scary-fast descent, you'll definitely appreciate the temperature differential CTg affords.

We've been riding and racing these wheels for awhile now and the consensus around here is that these are definitely worthy of two-thumbs-up, whether we're on the hoods or tucked low in the drops.

Reynolds Sixty Six/Eighty One carbon clincher wheels come with Cryo Blue brake pads, lightweight quick release skewers and valve extenders.
