Selle San Marco Aspide FX Saddle - Closeout

Designing a saddle is a balancing act. With the Aspide Carbon FX saddle Selle San Marco was aiming for a balance between lightweight, comfort and an agreeable price point. We think they hit the sweet spot with this one. The Aspide FX weighs a respectably light 140g, has a comfortably flexible shell, strong and lightweight Ti rails and a durable and good-looking Microfeel synthetic cover. We've always liked both the streamlined look of the Aspide and its overall compactness. It has just enough upward curve at the notched tail to support in-the-saddle climbing and a generously tapered mid-section that keeps it out of the way of our thighs. The variable thickness padding provides extra cushioning where it's needed and reduces weight where it wouldn't do much good anyway.
