The smart power trainer that revolutionized indoor training has been enhanced to offer improved ride responsiveness, quieter operating noise, increased power and steeper simulated grade. Wahoo updated algorithms to more accurately replicate sprints, intervals and hill climbs on virtual training platforms such as Zwift and Trainer Road. And now, the KICKR is compatible with Wahoo's new KICKR CLIMB, so each interval, incline and descent will now feel more realistic than ever.
The new Wahoo Fitness KICKR Power Trainer gives you a realistic ride feel, plus accurate power measurement, iPhone controlled resistance, open 3rd party software options and the smoothest indoor riding on the market. Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ FE-C technologies wirelessly connect to your iPhone, iPad, iPod or Garmin Edge and let you control resistance levels, structure interval workouts, and simulate real-world courses using your favorite App. Super flywheel with electronic resistance is engineered to replicate the inertia of an actual rider on the road, plus it runs extremely quiet.
And if that's not enough, Wahoo designed the KICKR for maximum compatibility. Each Wahoo KICKR trainer comes with a 10/11-speed compatible Shimano/SRAM freehub, with a 11-speed cassette pre-installed. To convert to 10-speed, simply remove the 11-speed cassette and spacer, and install the 11-speed cassette. If you're riding Italian, a Campagnolo conversion kit is available (sold separately), that lets you convert the KICKR for compatibility with 10/11-speed Campy. The KICKR also comes with a reversible spacer already installed that lets you convert the unit from 130mm to 135mm spacing--ideal for CX and road bikes with disc brakes, or for some mountain bikes. And with thru axle becoming more and more common across MTB, CX, and disc road bikes, a 142x12 and 148x12 thru axle adapter is also available (sold separately).

Wahoo Fitness App Controls the KICKR in 4 Different Ways: Wahoo Fitness has built 10 levels, each with a progressive resistance curve, just like riding outside. For example, the faster you pedal, the harder it gets -- simulating rolling and air resistance. With the KICKR, you can set a target wattage and the KICKR will remain at that wattage as you ride independent of speed and cadence. This is the ultimate way to train with Power. With sim mode, you can enter your weight, bike type, riding position, headwind, and grade and the KICKR will accurately model the power curve just as if you were riding outdoors. For those of you who need to be in control, this allows you to adjust resistance of the brake manually from 0 to 100% Any iPhone with Bluetooth 4.0: iPhone 4S and newer; iPad 3 and newer; iPad mini Older iPhones/iPads can collect data with the use of an ANT+ adapter for iPhone Trainer Road.com is an online community focused on providing cyclists incredible structured workouts and training programs.
