Come Join Our Next Ride!

The Great Ride Series - Beginner
You’re invited to join our beginner level Saturday morning group ride, starting and ending at Performance Bicycle. The ride is for beginners, those getting back in the saddle, or riders who want to add some variety to their cycling. The ride will last approximately one hour, and will go at an average pace of between 12 and 15 miles per hour. We’ll explore some of the local bike paths and some residential routes, as well. The ride will take place every Saturday morning at 9:00am and is a “No Rider Left Behind” ride. Come out and join us for this fun, non-competitive ride. We can’t wait to see you there.

Local Trails

Jacksonville-Baldwin Trail
Rails-to-Trails paved trail that runs from Jacksonville to the town of Baldwin. Trail is 14.5 miles end to end. Parking available at each end and is a well groomed paved trail with facilities along the trail.

Hanna Park
The most established trail system in North East Florida. The nearly ten miles of looping single and double track offer trails for ever class of off-road biker: beginner, intermediate, and expert. In addition to hosting sanctioned races on a seasonal schedule, the track sees many local bikers on a daily basis. This trail wins the award for "Most Difficult Close to the Sea." The ride travels near the Atlantic for approximately a mile of beach riding, and the expanse of blue contrasts to the compact canopy of green.

Tillie K. Fowler Park
One of the newer trail systems on the west side of Jacksonville. The trail sits directly across from the main gate of NAS Jax on Roosevelt Blvd. There are approximately 6-8 miles of trails if all are ridden. Trail work is currently being done with the help of SorbaJax to expand the system as it is in the largest park in Jacksonville.

Fort Clinch State Park
A fun, fast flowing trail that is in the Fort Clinch State park about an hour north of Jacksonville in Fernandina Beach. Great place for the whole family as there are clean facilities and a ton of stuff for everyone to do. While there, check out historic Fort Clinch nestled along the beach.

Spin Doctor Mechanic
Andrew is the Spin Doctor Mechanic at our Jacksonville location and is a proud new addition to the Performance team as of June 2013. Andrew has been a bike mechanic since 2000, and finds it especially gratifying when customers say their bike hasn’t run so perfectly since it was new. His favorite kind of riding is mountain bike riding, and he enjoys spending time with his family, riding or doing anything outdoors.

Andrew’s Ride Tip: Preventive maintenance is the key to a long-lasting, durable bike.
