Easy to set up. A Road bike is recommended but it works well with my hybrid also. Don't use a mountainbike, it's not made for that tread. Definitely not boring. You have to control the handlebars to keep your balance and it feels like your'e on the road and not sitting still. It took me about 10 min to learn to balance. No sweat, anyone can do it.

Comments about Travel Trac Travel Trac Technique Inertial Rollers:

I purchased these as my first rollers as I find riding a bike attached to a trainer almost unbearable. The rollers come completely assembled and all you have to do is adjust the front roller for the wheelbase of your bike and you're ready to go. It took me about 5 minutes of spinning while holding onto the wall to get my balance then I had no trouble. The one very nice thing about the drums is the they have a significant lip on both sides which redirect your wheel towards the center if you start to ride off the side. The resistance unit provides a good feel close to that of riding on the flats.

The only drawback to these rollers is the frame is made out of roto-molded plastic. It seems a little flimsy while setting them up but once you're riding on them they are rock solid. I have a slight concern about long-term durability.

Comments about Travel Trac Travel Trac Technique Inertial Rollers:

first of all the these rollers are very easy to set up and use. It took me about a half hour to get efficient riding on the rollers. When you set the resistance on 1 it feels very similar to a road ride. I average about 15-16 mph on the rd and on the rollers it's about 17.5 or so. Very realistic ride not to mention the great benefits of the resistance while using the rollers rather than being locked into my cycle ops fluid 2 trainer for a hour and a half being bored out of my mind.
