How to Install and Remove Pedals
Pedals are one of the few places on your bicycle where things are a little odd. To prevent pedals from loosening during use the left pedal is reverse threaded, the other is correctly threaded.
There are a couple of easy ways to remember:
Left pedal=left hand thread. Right pedal=right hand thread
Or
Loosen to the back,
Tighten to the front as shown in the diagram below.
As always, remember to grease the threads of the pedals before installation.
