Meet the Manager
Store Manager Bonnie's love for cycling came early in life while growing up on Pompano Beach. From commuting to work to competing in triathlons, cycling has always filled her life with joy. She has biked through Thailand from Chang Mai up to the Golden Triangle, which she describes as the most beautiful place in the world to ride. She loves working with cycling enthusiasts and helping new cyclists become enthusiasts.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

I-275 Southbound
Take Howard exit left (South). Take a right on Cypress Ave (West). Follow until the light at Dale Mabry, turn left at the light (South), Performance is on the left hand side next to Mattress One across from Carrabba's.

I-275 Northbound
Take SR60/Kennedy exit (East). Follow Kennedy Blvd until the Dale Mabry intersection. Turn left at the intersection (North), Performance is on the right hand side immediately after Wawa and Corvette shop.

Routes / Trails

The Great Ride Series - Beginner
You’re invited to join our beginner level Saturday morning group ride, starting and ending at Performance Bicycle. The ride is for beginners, those getting back in the saddle, or riders who want to add some variety to their cycling. The ride will last approximately one hour, and will go at an average pace of between 12 and 15 miles per hour. We’ll explore some of the local bike paths and some residential routes, as well. The ride will take place every Saturday morning at 9:00am and is a “No Rider Left Behind” ride. Come out and join us for this fun, non-competitive ride. We can’t wait to see you there.

Intermediate Group Ride
Sundays at 9:00am, meeting at Performance Bicycle Tampa
Approximately 1-2 hours at a 15-18mph pace
Bring a helmet, waterbottle, flat tire kit and positive attitude
This is a no drop ride
Coffee stop at the end of the ride!

Local Trails

Flatwoods Park
Description: Best known for its seven-mile paved loop road, which serves as a multiuse trail, Flatwoods Park provides a welcome getaway from Tampa’s developed landscape.
Difficulty: All levels
Location: Main entrance about 5 miles northeast of I-75 on Morris Bridge Road (CR 579) at Flatwoods Park Trail. Flatwoods Visitor Center located 0.5 miles inside entrance. Additional parking available 0.5 miles further west where the loop trail begins.

Pinellas Trail
Description: Considered one of the best urban trails in the southeast, the 37-mile paved Pinellas Trail stretches from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg, also passing near the cities of Clearwater and Dunedin. It includes some of the Tampa area's most beautiful parks and boasts stunning coastal scenery regardless of the time of year.
Difficulty: All levels
Location: Pinellas County - the northern terminus for the trail is in Tarpon Springs at Keystone Road; the southern terminus is in St. Petersburg at Demens Landing.

Upper Tampa Bay Trail
Description: Widely regarded as Tampa Bay's best urban trail, the Upper Tampa Bay Trail provides a scenic escape from its congested surroundings. The original section winds through suburban Citrus Park on an unused railroad corridor and extends along the west bank of the Channel A waterway, a drainage canal. Difficulty: Easy Location: From Tampa, take Hillsborough west, past Sheldon road, past Silvermill, and past Pistol Range Road. Turn right (north) on Montague, and then follow it as it turns right (east) for about a quarter mile (Note: Pistol Range Road does not go through to Montague/Memorial). The road will begin to curve/turn to the left (north). The trailhead is on your right.

Suncoast Trail
Description: The Suncoast Trail is a co-located multi-use path next to the Suncoast Parkway. It stretches the entire length of the Parkway, 42 miles, and has numerous trailhead/access points. Difficulty: All levels
Location: Northern Hillsborough County (Lutz Lake Fern Rd) north through Pasco County to Hernando County (US Hwy 98)

Alafia Park
Description: Some of the most challenging off-road bicycling trails in Florida can be found at Alafia River State Park. Located on what was once a phosphate mining site, the unique topography of the reclaimed land offers some of Florida\'s most radical elevation changes. Alafia State Park is home to 17 miles of bike trails, ranging from beginner to advanced.
