Will Peterson

What is your Job?
I am the Softgoods Distributor for Performance.

How long have you worked here?
I previously worked for the company for right on three years and have been back for around three months.

Why do you ride a bike?
I ride for the competitive aspect of the sport. Long hours alone are made up for by the excitement prior to a race.

Where do your ride?
I guess on the road would be the best answer. I have raced road, mountain, and cyclocross – but outside of road, I only lube up my chain for a race.

What has been your favorite ride?
Most memorial ones have been races. Patriots Crit in Fayetteville, NC perhaps.

What do you ride?
A road bike. Beyond that it is a nice aluminum frame built for me by Mike Ahrens’ and crew at Ahrens Bicycles, Campagnolo 10 speed with fairly basic bits – aluminum seatpost, aluminum bars, and metal rails on my saddle. Nothing too fancy, but stiff and durable.

What has been your biggest learn while riding?
The strongest rider rarely wins the race.

What is your favorite part of your bike?
I love wheels. It may not be a surprise, but changing wheels totally changes how a bike feels and rides. So I guess I should say, I love nice wheels.
