Meet the Manager
Store Manager Don has been a Performance employee since 2006. His first race in college was thrilling and he's been addicted to cycling ever since. He rides both mountain and road bikes and he's been racing mountain bikes for over 10 years. His favorite place to ride is Wissahickon Park, but aspires to ride as many places as possible.

What’s Happening?

Great Ride Series - Indoor Cycling
Want to stay warm, get fit and meet other cyclists? Come join us Saturdays at 9:00am for a fun indoor cycling class. Perfect for newer rides, our classes are fun, challenging and a great place to meet other riders. Please bring your own bike and trainer (including trainer skewer.) This class is perfect for beginner and more casual riders and lasts approximately one hour. We can't wait to see you there!

Routes / Trails

Fair Hill - MTB
Description: The place is huge - over 3000 acres where you can spend hours riding without repeating trails
Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
Location: Off Route 273, 2.5 miles outside of Newark, DE

Fairmount Park - MTB
Description: The best area for mountain biking within the Philadelphia local area - a combination of recreational path riding and technical off-road riding
Difficulty: All Levels
Location: Forbidden Drive, which goes into Fairmount Park can be reached from Kelly Drive/Main Street just east of Manayunk

French Creek State Park - MTB
Description: One of the largest areas for mtn. biking within an hour of Philadelphia - all types of terrain, including some of the longest climbs and descents in the area
Difficulty: All Levels
Location: Just north of PA rte. 23, about 5 miles east of the Morgantown exit on the PA turnpike

Great Valley Criterium – Road
Description: A fast-paced group ride that accommodates the average 9 to 5’er in its start time (6:00pm every Thursday) and brevity (30 miles, 60-75 minutes)
Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced
Location: Great Valley Parkway in the Great Valley Corporate Center, roughly 1 mile north on PA rte. 29 from US rte. 202, and 1 ¼ miles north on PA rte. 29 from US 30, in Malvern, PA

Schuylkill River Trail & Perkiomen Creek Trail - Road
Description: Combined it makes for roughly 45 miles of bike path riding from center city Philadelphia, through Valley Forge National Park, and ending at Green Lane Park
Difficulty: All Levels
Location: Betzwood Bridge part of Valley Forge Park - accessible from the Trooper Rd. exit of US 422

Spring Mountain - MTB
Description: Great singletrack, fast and technical
Difficulty: Intermediate
Location: Off of RT29, Spring Mt ski area, Spring Mount, PA

Wissahickon Park (section of Fairmont Park) - MTB
Description: Singletrack, singletrack, singletrack. A great place to ride various terrains
Difficulty: All Levels
Location: Bells Mill Road and Ridge Ave

Spin Doctor Mechanic
Spin Doctor Drayton has been a Performance employee since 2009. He got his first bike when he was just 3 years old, so he’s been cycling for 49 years! He rides both road and mountain bikes and dreams of one day riding in Italy. He’s been a mechanic since 1978 and really enjoys building a bike up from scratch.
