The Great Ride Series - Beginner
You’re invited to join our beginner level Saturday morning group ride, starting and ending at Performance Bicycle. The ride is for beginners, those getting back in the saddle, or riders who want to add some variety to their cycling. The ride will last approximately one hour, and will go at an average pace of between 12 and 15 miles per hour. We’ll explore some of the local bike paths and some residential routes, as well. The ride will take place every Saturday morning at 9:00am and is a “No Rider Left Behind” ride. Come out and join us for this fun, non-competitive ride. We can’t wait to see you there.

Patapsco State Park - MTB
Description: This park has some of the best mountain biking trails around
Difficulty: Vary in difficulty
Location: Close to the Performance Bicycle Columbia store, maps are available from the MD Department of Natural Resources
Schaeffer Farm - MTB
Description: Trails offer something for all levels, but tend toward fast and smooth hardpack singletrack, with moderate climbs, and a good number of log and ramped log hops. Some technical sections will require beginners to dismount, but intermediates should find most sections rideable and challenging. Trails can be crowded on weekends, with much lighter use during the weekdays.
Rockburn Skills Park - Trail / MTB
Desciption: Rockburn Skills Park was built with mountain biker and trail runners in mind. It has multiple trails of varying complexity
Location: There are two entrances, the East Entrance is located at 5400 Landing Road, Elkridge 21075, the West Entrance is located at 6105 Rockburn Branch Park Rd, Elkridge 21075
Baltimore to Annapolis - Path and Pavement
Description: If you are looking to augment your physical workout with some intellectual exercise, look no further than the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail. The scenic, paved, 13-mile community trail is brimming with history lessons and boasts a solar system of information.
Location: 15 miles outside of Columbia.
