Meet the Manager
Store Manager Todd is originally from Alexandria, VA. A long-time Performance Bicycle employee, Todd is not only a recreational road rider, but he has chosen the bicycle as his primary means of transportation. Routes / Trails
Castle Rock Loop
Location/Description: From the Indian Valley/Shell Ridge Staging Area head south on the Diablo to Briones Trail, and continue on to the Dusty Road Trail. Descend Dusty Road to BBQ Terrace and head north through Pine Canyon. Stay to the left and climb out of Pine Canyon, back to the Diablo to Briones Trail. Head north back to the Indian Valley Trail head. Total loop approximately 11 miles w/ roughly 1500 feet of climbing.
Difficulty: Intermediate

This area is a fantastic area to road ride, with many excellent loops/ rides, our most popular and famous ride would have to be an ascent of Mt. Diablo, to be featured as the final to the queen stage of this year’s Tour of California. Starting from Performance Bicycle Walnut Creek head out Main Street and follow it to Danville, about 9-10 miles. Make a left on El Cerro Blvd. and follow it and it will eventually become Diablo Rd, follow Diablo Road to the entrance of Mt. Diablo State Park, turn left into the park and begin climbing. After you summit descend the same way back to town or choose to descend the North side, leaving the park follow Walnut Ave to Ygnacio Valley Road back to downtown Walnut Creek. This is a tough climb but is suitable for riders of all levels. The climb is 10.9 miles and about 3500 feet of climbing.
