Meet the Manager
Store Manager Sean hails from San Diego. His love of cycling started with BMX when he was a kid and eventually led to downhill and four-cross racing. His favorite places to mountain bike are Martha’s Grove, Sycamore Canyon, Laguna Mountains and Ted Williams. In addition to cycling, Sean enjoys riding ATVs, jet skiing and golfing

Routes / Trails
Lake Hodges - MTB
Description: Fun trail with flat sections and singletrack
Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate
Location: Off Rancho Parkway in Escondido

Mission Trails - MTB
Description: One of the largest day use areas - the network of trails allows for one to four hours riding over varied terrain
Difficulty: All Levels
Location: The trail has several entrances. The most accessible is located off of the 52 freeway and Mission Gorge Rd

Noble Canyon Trail - MTB
Description: Technical trail that offers varying levels of difficulty - 2000 ft elevation change on the trail, with top being just under 6600 ft. Remote location – only ride with a partner
Difficulty: Advanced
Location: About 35 minutes outside of San Diego in far eastern San Diego County

Spin Doctor Mechanic
Spin Doctor Michael is a La Mesa native. He’s been a bike mechanic for 30 years and worked at Performance since 2001. Although he’s no stranger to road riding and has ridden to the top of Alp D Huez, Michael says commuting is his favorite type of riding. And when it comes to his favorite tool, he votes for the lowly cleaning rag, because “it does the most good.” When he’s not wrenching, Michael enjoys reading.
