Meet the Manager
John is the Store Manager at our hometown Chapel Hill location and he’s been a Performance employee since 2006. John has been riding his bike for so long, it’s hard to pin down when it all began, but he started riding and racing road bikes at the early age of 13. While he has both road and mountain racing experience, he prefers the mountain bike, and his favorite places to ride are Dark Mountain, the local Triangle trails, and the Rocky Knob Bike Park.

An event for the newly completed sections of the trail, between I-40 and the Chatham county line.
Performance Bicycle Chapel Hill will provide basic adjustments on bikes and give away safety whistles.

Every Tuesday morning.
15-20 miles at an approximate 15-17mph pace.
Sign-up sheet is in the store and wed be happy to add ladies to the list!

Tom's Weekly Group Ride
Every Sunday at 9:00am.
Meeting places vary.
These are no-drop rides at an approximate 12-14 mph pace.

Briar Chapel
Description: 5-6 miles of flowing fun! This is a trail everyone can enjoy. There are a couple technical areas but for the novice and opt out option as well.

Spin Doctor Mechanic
Scott is the Spin Doctor Mechanic at our Chapel Hill location and he’s been a Performance employee since 2006. Scott has been a mechanic for 27 years and started working on bikes as a teenager in his father’s shop. He is Spin Doctor Certified and enjoys riding mountain bikes, dirt jumping, and riding his motorcycle.
