How about a fully loaded Shimano XT 11-speed speed demon with a modern age, custom butted chromoly frame and tubeless ready wheels? It's true, and it's at a fraction of the price of a custom bike.
Since the time he was one of the original Mt. Tam riders, the birth place of mountain biking, Joe Breeze has learned a thing or two about mountain bikes, and he's employed this massive history to his own research and design. The Breezer Lightning Team is the beneficiary of Joe's love for steel. Its Breezer D'Fusion fully-butted chromoly steel frame features a BB92 bottom bracket and 148x12 rear thru-axle for stiffness under acceleration, and a tapered head tube for control. A Fox 34 Performance Elite fork has a 3-position adjust to custom tune to the trail, a lockout for climbs, and 120mm of travel can handle most XC obstacles.
The Shimano 1x11 XT drivetrain is what high performance is all about. The 32-tooth crank and 11/42 cassette offers an enormous range of gears for climbing and descending. WTB ASYM i35, 27.5", TCS Tubeless Ready wheels with WTB Ranger and Trailblazer tires are optimized for their specific front and rear application, and a set of Shimano M8000 Hydraulic Disc brakes supply all the stopping power you need.
