Genuine Innovations Air Chuck Elite CO2 Inflator (w/ 16g & 20g Cartridges)
This CO2 air chuck is in first place for the simplest, most compact and lightest of its kind. After screwing on your cartridge you simply press the air chuck down onto the opened tire valve to regulate the speed and volume of the gas filling your bicycle tube or tubeless tire.
This one handed operation allows you to hold your wheel easily, something that two handed units make more difficult to do when lining up the chuck to the tire valve.
By not screwing onto the valve the problem with removable valve retention is eliminated, no more worries about disengaging only to have your removable valve come along, thus emptying the newly filled tire.
The only two criticisms involve the fact that this item doesn't come with a protective sleeve (insulation for the extreme and rapid freeze that occurs with the CO2 container as it empties its gas into your tire) and the occasional explosive expulsion of the o-ring that works to seal the unit and which, upon expelling, renders the air chuck useless (unless you can miraculously reinstall it). The first issue is easily overcome by using a piece of insulating material to cover the cartridge when emptying it and the second criticism is dealt with by emptying the cartridge slowly, though carrying a common sensical back-up, small air pump is the best idea in this regard.
