Bombtrack Beyond 1 Gravel Bike (Antique Gold) (XL)
Performance Bicycle Review: They were awesome. They got the bike shipped fast, which was important as I had a bikepacking trip scheduled and my bike (different brand, different seller) suffered a catastrophic failure. They were so quick and efficient. I even recommended them to a friend who ordered a dope Surly from them.
Bombtrack Beyond 1 Gravel Bike (Antique Gold) Review: This bike is badass. I have zero cons or complaints to say about it. It arrived ready to roll. I ride this bike around Austin, TX a lot, and love its versatility. I will ride it through streets to get to bike trails and ride it through bike trails. I ride it through pretty much any terrain. I have taken it on long trips, like a 128-mile (64-mile trail rode twice in one trip) adventure through Caprock Canyon Trailway, in the winter, which covered all kinds of terrain. I've loaded it down with gear for overnights and the bike has taken anything I throw at it.
The brand may or may not be new to you, but it is definitely a reputable brand, and not an online-only spin-up or anything. If you are looking for a bike in this category, I highly recommend this one. It will grow old with me.
I am 6'1" and 240lbs (255-post-pandemic) and need a strong bike that can hit stuff and ride over stuff. I ordered the Large and it fits great. If I wouldn't have found this in my size, I probably would have gone with a Salsa Fargo or a Marin. I've had other bikes that were too small that got uncomfortable over longer rides. This one, not at all. The only modification I have made to it was setting the tires up tubeless. This is totally worth it as I can pop a tube on a quick bump or the many thorns, screws, and random stuff found on Texas paths.
