This is the Continental Mountain King II 27.5" Tubeless Tire, with ProTection casing and BlackChili rubber compound. The Mountain King II is a trail riders dream. Fast, durable and light. Hard pack, loose over hard pack, light mud. The Mountain King II is an impressive tire that punches far above its weight class, and is a perfect addition to any XC/Trail bike.

Utilizing widely spaced, medium sized lugs, the Mountain King rolls much faster than one would think. But speed was not sacrificed for traction. The square edged, siped center knobs deliver satisfying braking and acceleration, while the siped side knobs deliver the grip required for high speed corners. BlackChili compound, ProTection technology and high volume casing make the Mountain King II a great choice if you encounter a mix of rocks, roots and smooth dirt on your trails.

• ProTection: Utilizing a UST-style bead and an additional layer of rubber-coated, high strength nylon that spans the complete width of the tire, ProTection technology provides added durability and air tightness. Combined with sealant, ProTection models deliver low-pressure tubeless performance with improved damping, traction and rolling characteristics.
• BlackChili Compound: Compared to the previous Activated Silica Compound, BlackChili tires have 26% less rolling resistance, a 30% higher friction value (grip) and a 5% increase in mileage. Tires with BlackChili Compound deliver unprecedented performance.
• Revolution Tubeless Ready (RTR): RTR delivers the perfect blend of smooth running, grip, and puncture protection, with a UST style bead, and mid-weight casing for full tubeless compatibility. ProTection RTR features 4 ply heavy duty nylon (4 under tread, 3 in the sidewall).
