Diamondback Hatch 2 Hardtail Mountain Bike (Blue) (15" Seat Tube) (S)
The Hatch2 is definitely the best bang for the buck. The bike is well built, looks great, weight is not very heavy, nice entry level 3X7 Shimano components, disc brakes, good wheels/tires with quick release skewers, and decent stem/fork. The Blue color is more like a bluish grey with a matte finish. Out of the box I did not need to make any shifter or brake adjustments, just simple low level assembly (came with all tools needed - 3 sizes of Allen wrenches and a bike multi tool). Of note I feel the sizing chart is a bit off. I bought the small for my son as a Xmas gift based on the sizing chart. The bike was too big for him - I am 5'10" and the small fits me well. Based on the sizing chart, medium would have been my size. I did not have an opportunity to try out the medium. Performance Bike customer service was great with the exchanging process with shipping the bike back and using the store credit to buy the XS.
