This is the bike for you if you love to ride it all. The Diamondback Mission 1.0 27.5" All-Mountain Bike is just flat out capable on all terrain, whether it's climbing singletrack to the top of the a ridge or bombing down the trail. The Mission 1.0 features Diamondback's proven and highly successful KnuckleBox platform., which lowers the center of gravity for stability while descending. Suspension travel is a very generous 160mm, while 27.5" wheels provide the acceleration and that roll-over-anything feeling that keeps you confident in the saddle.

The KnuckleBox, or bell crank, is the core of DB's single-pivot, four-bar suspension platform. bellcranks translate the vertical motion of the wheel in to horizontal motion, allowing the suspension to be mounted transversely or longitudinally within a vehicle. Optimally placed pivots equate to a low leverage ratio and, ultimately, to superior pedaling efficiency and small-bump compliance. This also allows the shock to work more efficiently and reduces pedal induced motion. The design helps reduce overall load on the system, promoting improved shock and bearing life. Bottom line, locating the KnuckleBox low within the frame results in a lower center of gravity, which allows the bike to track and corner better. And here's a bonus: The linkage is inverted and uses proprietary single-sided hardware on the non-drive side of the main pivots for easy access and maintenance.

The Mission 1.0 builds out using Diamondback's rugged All-Mountain 6061-T6 Weapons Grade aluminum full-suspension frame with hydroformed top tube, as well as butted and formed downtube and seatstays. The short head tube is something shorter riders will appreciate, and the chainstays are sized for an ideal balance of nimbleness with stability.

Front and rear suspensions components are ready for anything. At the rear, a Fox Float Performance DPS, with an 8.5" eye-to- eye for increased travel and rebound adjustment. The front fork is a FOX 34 Float with 160mm of travel, open cartridge, 3-position lever, and external rebound for high speed compression with external rebound. The 1.5" tapered steerer is butted alloy, while the stanchions are 34mm Easton aluminum and work with magnesium lowers that have a QR15 thru-axle. A 160mm fork allows the front end to sit slack, which enables the Mission 1.0 to eat obstacles with ease as the geometry adds stability on descents without compromising climbing ability.

SRAM components provide the drive and the control and. A SRAM X5 10-speed shifter and SRAM X7 Type 2.1 rear derailleur offer dependable gear selection. A Raceface Ride 30T Narrowwide single ring hooks up with a SRAM PG1020 cassette(11-36T), which ensures you have a ratio spread to attack any terrain. DB Am320 Doublewall Disc 32H rims , 32h and tubeless compatible, are wrapped with Schwalbe Hans Dampf 27.5X2.35 knobbies for go anywhere handling.
