Fairdale 2021 Flyer 27.5" Bike (Cool Grey) (M/L)
This bike is awesome and Nashbar service is great.

I really prefer the style of BMX handlebars - I love the balanced control and the relaxed posture, along with just being comfortable with this style since these are the kinds of bikes I rode as a kid. However, adult BMX are a little less common, and cruising around with the single gearing as an adult would give my legs a beating. This bike gives me everything I need. Great height, big wheels, very comfortable grips, great posture, no shocks, and a few gears to give my legs a break.

Then when it comes to price, I don't see how you can do any better. Bikes are EXPENSIVE, but this bike is a great deal not just for what it is, but on top of that Nashbar had a discount.

Also, Nashbar customer service is awesome. One of the pedals wasn't screwing in properly, I tested a different pedal to confirm if it was the pedal or the stick, called them up, and they sent a replacement ASAP. Not to mention the original ship speed of the bike itself was great. I will happily buy more bikes from here in the future!

Fairdale 2021 Flyer 27.5" Bike (Cool Grey) (M/L)
Bike has quality issues. There was a manufacturing issue with an axle slot of the front fork causing one slot to be way too small to accept the axle. Fairdale claimed the slot was bent during shipping because their manufacturing process is so great the issue would be impossible, even though I have the evidence right in front of me of a manufacturing flaw. They then tell me they can't send a replacement because the bike is a previous model and they don't have replacement parts. So in 2021, a 2021 model bike is so outdated they have no replacement parts for warranty issues? Cool story guys. The fork also has an area where paint is cracking and chipping off. The cable mounts on the bottom of the top tube are all crooked--instead of being at the 6 o'clock position they're more like the 5 o'clock. The wheels came very out of true. The rear wheel wobbled bad enough to rub the frame in a spot. The bike did not come with the tires advertised. Both front and rear wheels came with the axles so tight against the bearings they were difficult to spin the axle by hand. I put 100 miles on the bike like this and they did not loosen even slightly. The crank is also way too tight. After straightening out the issues that I could and putting different tires on it, I do really like the bike. It's very heavy, but I use it as an exercise bike so the weight doesn't bother me too much. The arrogance of the company and lack of warranty parts for a current model year bike is a problem, when I could have bought a nice Trek at a local shop for the same amount.
