Industry Nine Trail S 29" Wheelset (15x110/12x148mm Thru Axle) (Boost) (Sram XD 11/12 Speed)

This Trial-S Wheelset is the forerunner of the Steel-Series line that Industry Nine recently introduced. This wheelset balances weight, strength, reliability, and a reasonable price point. The hubs used on the Trail S Wheelset are Industry Nine’s first-ever straight-pull steel spoke mountain bike hubset. The spokes are laced tangentially to the hub flange on these wheels. This builds long-term durability and removes most of the spoke stress from the hub flanges because opposing spoke tensions cancel each other out. The internals of the hubs is made with accuracy and strength so that they have increased longevity and require less maintenance. The rear hub has an engagement range of 6 degrees and a 60 point engagement range. 

Industry Nine components are manufactured in the USA, start to finish. Everything. Each hub goes through layers of CNC machine processes. The layers of processes include the manufacturing of pawls, splines, teeth, and other parts all separately machined and scrutinized by quality control. Hubs are individually polished and/or anodized, and laser-etched in-house. The production warehouse shelves are constantly moving with outgoing orders and incoming fresh parts from the machine shop. Industry nine has all of the technology they need to create their in-house project. For example, there's a wire EDM Machine, which cuts hardened steel by using an electrical current. The wire EDM machine maximizes the strength and accuracy used to cut teeth and pawls. The crew of wheel builders at i9 is made up of about 5 people each finishing up roughly 10 to 15 wheelsets PER DAY. Industry Nine really goes the whole nine yards with their components.
