OK...this is the stuff I use on my Rans Stratus recumbent. I buy it by the foot from TerraCycle, but if you ride a bike like mine that uses a LOT of chain, you could just as well buy 3 of them from Nashbar and link them together with KMC's Masterlinks, which are reusuable. Works just as well, and breaks down about the same price wise.
So before I started waxing my chain, I'd get about 3,000 miles off this chain before I'd have to replace it. Waxing supposedly extends the life of the chain out to about 7500 miles, in the dry and dusty conditions I ride in. We will see....
At any rate, I have no complaints about this chain. Shifts smoothly, doesn't seem to accelerate wear of the cassette. No complaints. Seems to wear better than the Shimano nine speed chains I have used. I would also recommend the SRAM PC 970 or 950 in that regard.
