The Wasp Air Tri is a shorter version of the Wasp helmet designed to meet the needs of triathlon riders. Everything about the helmet is shaped around the rider’s position and finding the maximum aerodynamic gains while being ventilated.

The aerodynamic performance of the Wasp Air is the result of extensive wind tunnels research, scientific insight in aerodynamics and the use of mathematical models that allow Lazer to compute and optimize the shape of the helmet in the virtual environment.

On top of the helmet, there is an Aquaport that allows water to be squirted in the helmet, where it quickly and effectively cools the head. Besides the Aquaport the helmet also has a frontal ventilation grid to draw air into the helmet.

The integrated lens is also an integral part of the helmet and can be moved forward so that air can flow into the helmet when needed. This creates an airflow through the helmet with air passing over the rider’s head and out the two tail vents. A trip wire on the top of the surface of the Wasp creates micro vortices to assure for a smooth airflow over the tail of the helmet.

The Lazer advanced Turnfit® retention system makes sure the helmet is snug and comfortable on the head.

Adjustable Head Basket:
The adjustable head basket allows the back part of the rollsys® system (that grips the back of the head) to move up and down depending on the riders preference. This way the Rollsys® system can be adjusted even more too individual rider needs and can create even more comfort.
The ATS is a new interpretation of the classic Turnfit system. We have combined the traditional Turnfit dial system with the Rollsys head basket to create an even more effective retention system. A dial at the back of the helmet now controls a basket that grips a large part of back of the head. A quick turn of the ATS® dial makes sure the basket grips the back of the head for a snug yet comfortable fit that keeps the helmet firmly in place.

Lazer helmets are tested in a specifically designed 'vent tunnel'. This test measures the amount of air that is flowing over the head and in which specifc areas. That way we can effectively measure the ventilation a helmet offers. based on this testing we adjust the vent position and size of the vents to make sure we create products with good ventilation to make sure you can perform at top level.

All helmets are designed to be safe, but Lazer helmets are also designed to be fast. That is why our helmets are tested in wind tunnel facilities. They go through a varienty of test to measure the aerodynamic performance and improve it where possible.

The Rigidity Brace system is a reinforcement for a superior helmet resistance against multi impacts. This system is comparable with a roll cage in a racecar. In case of a crash this will keep the cracked EPS pieces together so the helmet still offers some form of protection. This system does not guarantee the effectiveness of a helmet after a crash, every helmet needs to be inspected carefully after a crash and in case of dents or cracks it should be replaced.

Aerodynamic:

Aerodynamic means the helmet delivers a significantly better aerodynamic performance compared to standard road helmets. These aerodynamic results are measured with the use of a wind tunnel for maximum accuracy.

Head Down Aerodynamics:

Optimal aerodynamics while riding with head down.

Going fast is all about power, technique, and the perfect riding position. Keeping your posture small and your head down are key to having a good aerodynamic position on the bike. Head down Aerodynamics means the helmet will actually improve its performance when your head is down and your riding position is changed to a more aero style.

Featherlight:

Featherlight helmets are the lighest helmets of the Lazer range. They are so light and comfortable you will forget you are wearing them after a while.
