Microshift R539 Front Derailleur (3 x 9 Speed) (Braze-On)
Had a great exchange with a technical guy via the Chat on the performance bicycle website. My Trek 2000 Alpha Series road bike front derailleur (3x9) - Shimano Tiagra is officially discontinued and they were able to match up the Microshift R539 as a direct replacement. My Shimano Tiagra is not a braze on fitting, but the Microshift was able to be bolted to the existing derailleur mount/ring - just had to take the old derailleur off - per the technical person's recommendations. Sure enough the part arrived in good time and I was able to easily mount it on my bike and it worked with just a few minutes of tuning the tension on the shifter. Thanks very much. I'm glad I enquired via the Chat - feel like I got some expert advice.
