Niner 2021 AIR 9 2-Star Hardtail Mountain Bike (Silver/Baja Blue) (29") (M)

Received the bike today. Definitely a quality build, especially at this price point weight. I can't think of any other hardtail with this component quality and low weight under $2K. I ordered the M, despite being 5' 7" (a Small, per the Niner chart). It looks like that was a good decision, as the geometry still feels tight, especially in reach.

Awesome bike, love it.

HOWEVER, buyer beware, I serviced the stock fork it came with and it had NO Dust Wipers inside the fork. Glad I only put about 3 hours on the fork before I decided to check the oil levels and Dust Wipers.

Also the star nut in the steerer tube was installed a little sideways. Otherwise great bike.

A beautiful build with quality components at an excellent price point. Niner has stayed true to its roots with a functional cross-country hardtail that is ready for the singletrack, gravel roads, fire roads, and more.

Heads up if you are buying the XS frame, I purchased this for my son who is 5 feet tall, the seat tube is curved which does not allow you to insert the seat post more than 5.5 inches so be ready to break out the hack saw or order a shorter seat post until the smaller rider can use the Niner alloy seat post that comes with the full build.

I highly recommend Niner as a brand and the Air 9 as an amazing full build hardtail!
