Pearl Izumi Interval Bib Shorts (Black) (M)
I've worn Pearl Izumi kit for years, and these are my best Pearl Izumi bibs yet. I've owned a range of their shorts and bibs – starting with Quest shorts, then Attack bibs (a big jump in quality and performance), then to Elite bibs (another big jump in quality and performance), and now these Interval bibs. For me it has the most comfortable chamois yet (slightly better than the Elite bibs). I appreciate the added length of the legs. I'm not crazy about the laser cut bib straps – they can be a little tedious to get to lay flat. That said, the overall fit is very comfortable. After one season of wear, the bibs have held up well.

Pearl Izumi Interval Bib Shorts (Black) (L)
Straps are very thin and easily twisted. Shorts fit well. Chamois very thin and didn't fit my butt very well. Other brands chamois become almost molded to my anatomy with use. These didn't. Significant chafing from a 20 mile ride. Not worth the money.

Measurement Guide:

  1. Chest- Measure circumference around fullest part, across bust points, keeping the tape horizontal
  2. Waist- Measure circumference around the narrowest part (typically the small of the back where the body bends to the side), keeping tape horizontal
  3. Hips- Measure circumference around fullest part of hips keeping the tape measure horizontal

Measurement Guide Notes:

  • Use the chart to determine size
  • If measurements are between two sizes, sizing down will provide a tighter fit while sizing up will provide a looser fit
  • If the measurements for the chest and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, choose the size indicated by the chest measurement
  • If measurements for hips and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, choose the size indicated by the hip measurement
