The Ninja Pump is a favorite compact combo pump. Part CO2 inflator, part hand pump, compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves. Its full alloy construction is tough, yet shiny. This pump worked precisely once.

The second time used, it pierced the CO2 cylinder, but the valve was stuck and would not turn. Limped home On Hand pumped air, which tops out at 30 psig (~2 bar).

Loosened with pliers. Pumped krytox into threads and made it work. I think the machined bare aluminum threads developed an oxide layer that swelled the fitting shut.

Third “use” the piercing pin fell out. Could not pierce the inflator. Limped home again. Finding an alternative device.

Also, the pumping chamber in threads itself while pumping. Manufacturer needs to use threadlock on this.

Do not buy. Poorly executed clever design.
