Comments about Redline Redline Monocog 29er Single Speed:

I ride this frame XC on very technical trails and fast singletrack geared at 32x19. The shorter wheel base than some other models keeps it fairly nimble and allows for easy turn initiation. The frame is definitely no lightweight and it seems like a good bit of the weight is actually in the fork, I've kept it rigid. I would like to upgrade to a lighter fork eventually.

I love that the canti posts turned right out, I mounted it up with discs, though the front fork disc mounts are a little crooked I'll need to get my mounts faced and aligned. A buddy built one up the same time I did and his mounts are all fine. The rear end is pretty tight with 2.3" (Panaracer Rampage) tires, that's about all there's room for. The only other thing that is a slight negative for this frame is that there aren't a ton of 26.8 seatposts out there to choose from, I wish it used the common 27.2 size.

Overall I love the frame for what it is, it rides well and is darn near bombproof. The money I saved on frame and fork, I was able to spend on better componentry. I built mine up with pretty decent parts and I know I'll be riding this bike for years.
