Meet the Rocky Mounts SplitRail 2-Bike Hitch Rack, the most versatile platform hitch rack on the market. The SplitRail is available in both 1.25" receiver hitch and 2" receiver hitch versions to carry two bikes. The 2" receiver hitch version is also able to accommodate the addition of up to two SplitRail Add-On trays (purchase separately, Nashbar item # RM-SR1) to increase the rack's carrying capacity to either three or four bikes.
Each strut is engineered with 4" of side-to-side adjustment which makes fitting anything from kids to adult bikes simple and easy, and no tools are required to install/remove the rack from vehicle. The SplitRail includes Rocky Mounts' proprietary anti-wobble collar for secure attachment to vehicle. An easily accessible release handle allows the rack to be positioned into stow, use, and tilt positions.
The SplitRail includes the following security measures: An integrated cable locks secure the bikes to the rack plus a locking hitch pin secures the rack to the vehicle (lock cores and keys included). The SplitRail also comes with a wall mount storage hook for stashing the rack in the garage when not in use.
