The Fuji Tahoe 29 1.3 is the middle child of Fuji's line of aluminum cross-country and trail machines. The Tahoe is at home in across a range of disciplines, stopping just short of enduro capabilities. With a 29er's massive footprint, wide-range Deore SLX drivetrain, and nimble aluminum frame, the Tahoe is ready to roll around the cross country course or up and down technical singletrack.
The Tahoe 29 1.3 is built around the Fuji A2-SL custom butted aluminum frame. The PowerCurve downtube, 1 1/8 to 1 1/2" tapered headtube, and the BB91 bottom bracket work together to form a light, stiff frame that transfers your pedaling power straight to the wheels. The A2-SL frame excels on the climbs, aided by the remote lockout on the RockShox Recon 30 Gold RL 29 fork. Once you've crested the hill, the Recon Gold is ready to bring you back down, offering 100mm of travel to get you over the rough stuff. Shimano's M447 hydraulic brakeset helps scrub speed, offering unparalleled modulation and reliability.
The 1.3's Deore SLX/XT drivetrain makes it uniquely qualified for long days and steep climbs. With a 36/22T SLX crankset paired to a SLX 11-42 cassette, the Fuji Tahoe 29 1.3 is ready to take you just about anywhere. While 1x drivetrains may decrease maintenance, Shimano's 2x offers riders a fantastic range of gears without sacrificing reliability or shifting quality.
The finishing package on the Tahoe comes from Fuji's house brand, Oval Concepts. Light and durable, the Oval stem, seatpost, and saddle deliver maximum performance for the price point. The Tahoe rolls along on tubeless-ready Oval Concepts 200 wheels, which offer a balance of speed and durability. The Schwalbe Rocket Ron Performance tires (in their 2.25" iteration) put a premium on low rolling resistance, keeping you moving in all conditions. The Tahoe 29 1.3 is a great choice for the beginning cross-country racer, the intrepid trail rider, or the gravel grinder who likes the more upright position of the mountain bike.
