At the heart of the 2017 Fuji Rakan 3.1 29" full suspension mountain bike is the revolutionary MLink suspension platform, a four bar linkage system that uses a mid-length linkage in the rear triangle. This combines the suspension tuning previously possible only on short link systems with the geometry advantages of long link systems, enticing even the most insatiable rippers to drop in. MLink's longer links rotate slower than short link systems, creating less stress on pivot bearings and a stiffer rear swing arm while still taking advantage of shorter rear chainstay geometry. All of that super slick tech jargon adds up to give you the bike that changes the face of versatility on the mountain and blazes you toward trail nirvana. The Rakan 3.1 29er will have you climbing with precision and attacking your descents whether you're breaking away from the pack or carving up singletrack.

Fuji uses their A6-SL alloy frame with the Rakan. A tapered head tube, Boost 148x12mm thru-axle rear hub spacing, an oversized hydroformed downtube, and PF30 bottom bracket shell meld together to form a stiff, durable, and lightweight frame that boosts confidence when hitting corners hard and stabilizes your ride on high-speed technical descents.

With 29er wheels and 120mm of Fox suspension in the front and a Fox Float 3-position rear, the Rakan 3.1 tackles your steepest climbs and eats up rocks and roots with ease on your descents. The Boost standard for the hubs is all about increasing the stiffness of larger diameter mountain bike wheels by utilizing a wider hub axle spacing (110mm for the front wheel/148mm for the rear wheel) as well as a wider flange width.

Drivetrain-wise, the Rakan 3.1 29er sports the superb SRAM X1 1x11-speed system for crisp, precision gear changes and the simplicity that comes with having only a single chainring on the crankset. The SRAM Guide RS hydraulic disc brakes bring your speed under control with ease no matter the conditions out on the trails. The DT Swiss wheelset, replete with Boost standard hubs front and rear plus thru-axle set-ups front and rear, is up to the challenge of any trail while the tubeless-ready, considerably wide Schwalbe Nobby Nic 29" x 2.35" tires deliver superb all-around performance. Additionally, the Rakan 3.1 29er sports a dropper post to make those gnarly descents easier to negotiate.
