“The lightest alloy gravel bike ever made”

Specialized Crux Gravel bike

Specialized Crux DSW Comp

Based on the race-winning geometry of the carbon Crux, the Crux DSW utilizes aluminum tubing coupled with D’Aluisio Smartweld to create a high-performance, lightweight alloy gravel bike. Perfect for riders who want a capable rut-eating gravel rig, but don’t want to pay the “carbon fiber tax.”

D’Aluisio Smartweld

To create a durable and light aluminum frame, Specialized uses Smartweld technology to precisely match the joints and create stronger weld areas. This frame building process, pioneered by Specialized engineer Chris D’Aluisio, has been used previously on the Allez and Chisel to provide top-tier frame performance and a fraction of the cost of carbon.

SRAM Apex

12-speed drivetrain simplicity. SRAM Apex with a 1x crankset is easy-to-use while providing excellent performance. The wide-range 11-44T cassette is enough to speed along on the road or slow down and grind up a climb. DoubleTap mechanical shifting allows gear changes to be controlled from a single lever on the right shifter and the hydraulic disc brakes provide incredible stopping power.

47mm Tire Clearance

When the gravel gets chunky, wider tires are the solution to tackling the terrain. With 700c wheels, the Crux clears up to a 47mm wide tire. For riders looking for even more, a 650b wheelset can be used to run up to 2.1” tires. The Crux DSW Comp ships with 700c x 38mm Specialized Pathfinder Pro tires for a balance of durability and fast rolling performance.

  • Durable DSW Alloy Frame
  • Ample 47mm Tire Clearance
  • Powerful hydraulic disc brakes
  • Same responsive and nimble geometry as the carbon Crux
  • Rims and tires are tubeless-ready
  • 1x SRAM APEX drivetrain for simple and reliable operation
  • Pathfinder Pro tires are fast rolling over gravel and pavement

Assembly Note:

These bikes are fully built by our expert bike builders, then partially disassembled as needed for shipping. Bikes will arrive to you with some basic assembly still required. Tools for assembly and OEM pedals are included.
