After the success of both the CLX 64 and 32s, Roval knew that the best option was to continue to expand their wheel range. And while the 64s are the fastest wheels they've ever tested, and the 32s have the best combination of aerodynamics and weight, we needed one wheel to be a true quiver killer—and that’s where the CLX 50 comes in.

WIDER IS FASTER
The 20.7mm internal width is perfectly suited to wider tires and lower pressure, which creates a notable aero relationship and significant decreases in rolling resistance.

OPTIMIZED FOR EVERY RIDE
A shallow wheel might be your go-to when it's windy, but the 50s test faster in all wind situations. They're designed to place the center of pressure where the wheel sits behind the steering axis, so it's exceptionally predictable in crosswinds.

SUPERIOR CONSTRUCTION
In 2016 alone, the CLX 50 underwent thousands of kilometers of fatigue testing, so yeah, they're reliable. Not only that, but they're light—200 grams lighter than the closest competition. All praise be to high-modulus carbon, brilliant engineers, and coffee.

NO DETAIL TOO SMALL
Roval chose AF hubs that feature legendary CeramicSpeed bearings, and hand laced them to with DT Swiss Aerolite bladed spokes, which test faster than their round counterparts in the wind tunnel.

HAND-BUILT QUALITY
Humans catch mistakes that machines can’t, like damaged spokes and bends, which is why Roval choose professionally trained humans to hand-build all of their wheels.
