Not Stiff Enough
The concept of these is good, but they are too flexible and don't give much resistance to upward pull on the pedal. (I should've tried them sooner, but had to modify the old pedal; too much time has elapsed to return them, or I would.)

Wellgo Strapless Toe Clips (Black) (Pair)
These are very good, sized to fit within the breadth of the pedal, so they do not rub on the crank (I had others I had to sand down). Easy nut and bolt and locking washer. Just make sure you have a flat front on your pedals with holes/slots for the nuts. Had them 3 months so far, did not even need to tighten yet (I had others that needed a lot of tightening)
