This is Zipp’s innovative all-road handlebar, the Service Course SL 70 XPLR. This bar will help you go faster by placing your body, starting with your hands, in an optimal “comfort zone” position for hours of rough riding over mixed terrain. Today’s riders demand a few things out of their cockpit, whether they are doing a two hour training ride from home or a 200 mile gravel adventure: comfort, control, and the ability to carry what they need. Zipp met these needs by creating a bar with shallow and wide drops, specifically focusing on two crucial metrics—outsweep and flare.

The perfect gravel bar bend for those coming off a dedicated road bike. The flare is just enough to get the job done and the hoods aren't tipped inward like more extreme gravel bars. The reach and drop are also right where they should be and I like the flat tops when climbing as you can ride light and loose when going uphill. The hard 90 degree turn toward the hoods also offers another hand hold option that I find quite comfortable too. My only suggestion is that Zipp offers these in a 38cm for smaller riders. I bought two sets of these bars to replace the FSA bars (terrible shape) that came stock on our Litespeed Watia's and my wife rides 36cm's on her Bianchi's. She's okay with the 40cm but may ultimately try a 38cm down the line.
