Pearl Izumi Pro Shorts (Black) (XL)
Very comfortable material but too short in the back. These new PRO shorts have a different feel and fit than the old ones. I bought without trying on and that was a mistake.

Pearl Izumi Pro Shorts (Black) (S)
REVIEW the SIZE CHART before ordering. I have worn XXL in this brand for years, but these XXL were significantly larger than previous pairs.
The current size chart shows XL to be my size now, so maybe the sizes have changed over the last 3 years.

The shorts of course are of high quality, but the chamois liner is thinner than the older design from a few years ago. I prefer a little more padding,
but I am just a casual rider. This design may be more suitable for more competitive cyclists.

Pearl Izumi Pro Shorts (Black) (M)
Happy with overall value/performance quotient. Purchased these during one those <25%> off sales (plus coupon for `<10%> savings.

The Chamois is LARGE - but so what once you are sitting on the saddle. The fit is size medium is very good for my body - 70+ y/o male, 5'10" & #165. I like the hem-less leg grippers and wider waist band; seems more comfortable than my other shorts.

Pearl Izumi Pro Shorts (Black) (XL)
I purchased a pair of interval shorts and the pro shorts. I think the pro shorts are slightly more comfortable than the interval shorts with the elite chamois. I am firmly in the Clydesdale category of cyclist. I hadn't bought a new pair of cycling shorts for a few years. I decided to update my wardrobe a bit and I was not disappointed. I highly recommend either the elite or pro chamois. A typical ride for me is about 2 hours. Up to 3 or 4. With either of these chamois I have never felt any discomfort or seat fatigue. I also bought a new saddle.I bought a Terry seat for men. Terry is a company that caters to women, but I really like the new saddle I purchased. The changes I made have made cycling much more comfortable.

Measurement Guide:

  1. Chest- Measure circumference around fullest part, across bust points, keeping the tape horizontal
  2. Waist- Measure circumference around the narrowest part (typically the small of the back where the body bends to the side), keeping tape horizontal
  3. Hips- Measure circumference around fullest part of hips keeping the tape measure horizontal

Measurement Guide Notes:

  • Use the chart to determine size
  • If measurements are between two sizes, sizing down will provide a tighter fit while sizing up will provide a looser fit
  • If the measurements for the chest and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, choose the size indicated by the chest measurement
  • If measurements for hips and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, choose the size indicated by the hip measurement
